![]() | Once again I want to express the admiration of your project Osprey-22!!! You managed to create very technological and simple design of model of very difficult real plane. And principles of flight control which you use, and your firm controller are a masterpiece of engineering thought! It is a pity that model assemblage goes slowly because I now strongly engaged in by affairs on the work. I spend time most part in other region of Russia, in Western Siberia. Home to Moscow I come once a month all for some days. Each meeting with a family and with Osprey-22 which knots expect me on a desktop in an office is especially joyful!Kind regards, Boris Kabak The Russian Federation, Moscow e-mail: soika57.57@bk.ru ![]() Date of Posting: 01 July 2012 Posted By: Kabak Boris |
![]() | I have flown almost everything in the last 40 or so years. (Yes, I’m in my sixties)
Planes (singel- and multi engines), gliders, helicopters, gyrocopter, multi-rotor (chinook) and what not. But this is IT!!
A real pleasure to build it. Thanks to the superb manuals en videos it’s a piece of cake.
A real pleasure to fly it. The whole thing is in a fantastic way designed and the machine flies truly as a standard helicopter, only quieter and more stable. It’s almost unbelievable!
I’m sure that it won’t take very long before I will convert all the way. For now, the fun to fly the V22-Osprey as a helicopter is so great that to fly it as an airplane will have to wait!
As you are able to fly a model helicopter, I can nothing but recommend this machine to everybody!! The build is a not that difficult. The setup is not complicated. To fly it is easy and fun!!! It is worth every penny.
Oh, I almost forgot. If you have a problem or a question, Tom is very fast with his email replies!
Gerrit. ![]() Date of Posting: 03 May 2012 Posted By: Gerrit Yskout RC aviation for almost 40 years, Near Antwerp in Belgium. |
![]() | I have been in RC cars since the 80's, but have only been flying helicopters and planes for 2 seasons. Always wanted an Osprey, but never found one that was functional. A year ago, a friend found this one on the internet. Ran into Tom Mast at the IRCHA show, he answered all my questions and flew the aircraft for me. I decided I wanted one and made arrangements with Tom to build one for me. I did spend the extra money for him to build it for me and sent my radio and paid extra for him to pre-fly it. It was well worth it. I received the package on a Friday, Saturday morning, I put it together. Sunday, it was cold and windy, so we flew in the local school gym. All I was expecting was to start it up and do a check, but with ease it lifted off, was incredibly stable, so I flew it in heli mode. It's stability was amazing and have had no troubles. I have had it for 2 months, with no problems and anytime I have contacted Rotomast by email or phone, I have always received an answer. The online instructions, with no detail left out. It is the topic of conversation at any venue I fly at and it demands attention!![]() Date of Posting: 08 January 2012 Posted By: Stix Been in RC since early 80's, Indiana |
![]() | I have just flown my S/No 14 V22. It has been one year since I received the kit. Just slack. It was a real pleasure and thank you Tom for all the help you have given me along the way. I will fly it at a scale event here in Adelaide in two weeks. ![]() | Hi you Tiltrotor freaks,I am interested in acquiring this model. However, I much more would appreciate the elegant AW609 (BA609) fuselage design. Do you intend to bring this fuselage at the same scale onto the market? Your response is highly welcome. Kind regards. Jo Jo, Some day, if they ever get the real one in production ![]() Date of Posting: 02 October 2011 Posted By: Jochen Weder Germany, Munich region |
![]() | Tom, thanks for bringing that outstanding piece of aircraft history to the RC community finally. Your comprehensive manuals, videos and personal advice helps even non-RC-pros to bring the Osprey in the air safe.

Did my maiden flight this week and it flies stable and controllable all the time, tearing all the attention of folks around due to the unique shape and twin-rotor design. Will soon install the scale body and retracts to be ready to show off at some scale events next season!

All the best from Zurich, Switzerland!

Pascal
![]() Date of Posting: 30 September 2011 Posted By: Pascal Zurich, Switzerland |
